A Rose For The Dead

I wait alone,  In the barren wasteland of my life,  Drowning in my sorrow,  Surrounded by my strife.   
I'm desperate for a sign,  That my love has been found.  But there's not love for the damned,  Only the death that surrounds.   
The only reason I still live,  Is that rose that I hold.  
For though the years have withered it,  
It still represents what I was told:   
Wait for me, he said,  Wait for my sign.  When the cold wind blows and and tells of me,  Come once more to be mine.   
But the wind has never blown,  And my will is growing

ConfessionsLater that night, Jessica and I were sitting in the living room. She was doing homework and looking incredibly bored. I was sitting on the couch staring at her. I was waiting for her to stop working. I wanted to ask her something, but I didn't want to interrupt her, even though it looked like she wasn't really thinking about what she was doing.  
 
“Out with it,” she said, sounding slightly irritated. “I know you want to ask me something. So out with it already.”   
I was slightly embarrassed at being caught, and about my real question. I was afraid it would make me sound stupid. So I went with plan B. Confessions

Good Riddance“Zach. Come on, Zach. Stop.” I ignored the voice. I was tasting what was probably the best thing I had ever tasted, and I sure as hell wasn't going to stop because a voice was telling me to. “Zach, stop.” I kept ignoring it. “Damn boys, never listen to thing anyone says...”  
 
I went flying across the room.  
 
“What the..?” I sat up, confused. One second I was happily drinking Jacob's blood, and the next I was on my butt all the way across the room. What was up with that?

The GraveyardThe mist is swirling,  Inside my head,  Around my feet.  What am I doing here?   
I walk through the rows,  
Aimlessly, pointlessly.  I stare at the markers,  Thinking about the words.   
Rest in Peace.  Never to be forgotten.  Wait for me.  
 
Is this what waits for me at the end?  A box, some dirt, some words?  
Meaningless words...  
 
Or is there more waiting for me?  Is there more to this City of the Dead  
Than meets the eye?
